Services

The FAA requires no minimum flight time in which to achieve proficiency to fly a taildragger but does specify the tasks neccesary for sign off under FAR pt. 61.31(i). Most people will require between 6 and 15 hours to master tailwheels but a more likely gauge is 20 to 60 landings. This can not be achieved in one day so we've provided information on Lodging and Activities for you and your copilot during your stay, should you fly or drive in.

The town of Granbury is a quaint, authentic Western Cowboy town with a Center square, County Seat courthouse and Jail Museum. We have an Opera House (circa 1837), many antique shops and restaurants for your enjoyment. In the Granbury area we also have a brewery, winery, a drive through wild animal park and one of the few Drive-in movie theaters in the country.

There are many salons and spas to relieve your stress while waiting for your pilot during training.

Ride in Classic Tail Dragger!

(coming in the future)

After you've completed your training wouldn't it be neat to fly in a classic taildragger like a Swift, De Havilland Chipmunk,  Piper PA-12, Stearman or something similar?

As a premium experience and for an additional cost (tbd) you can truly fly like your forefathers in aircraft that were leaders in their class in the 30's and 40's. Put on a helmet and scarf and let the wind blow your hair or pretend you're on your first training flight  as we enter WWII!
